Hi and welcome back to my Cedar Cove series. I have been planning to do this “look back” for some time now. Originally, I thought it would be just one post but as I gathered all of the locations, I realized there was no way I could fit it all into just one. And so began the idea of a series.
As I write this text, my husband and I are at the end of a relaxing 2-week vacation. I worked around the clock to get the many photos loaded to posts, prior to our trip. I am writing the text while on vacation and this morning, I just discovered that I did not load a couple of VERY important photos for todays post. 🙁 I will have to include them in next weeks post or perhaps edit this post once we’re back home. I’m unsure right now but will let you know what I decide. I am so sorry. All I can say it is was extremely hectic the 2 weeks leading up to our departure and I didn’t want to NOT post while I was gone. I hope to be even better prepared the next time I go out of town. Thanks for your understanding.
You can read my intro post here, featuring Deep Cove locales, and last weeks part one here, showcasing the ‘Houses of Cedar Cove’. This week we will check out the ‘Businesses of Cedar Cove’.
Moon’s Place: Season 1
Durning season 1 of Cedar Cove, Moon’s Place was in this Fort Langley establishment, where the Taphouse & Eatery currently resides. I recently paid a visit and the place is gorgeous inside!!! I plan to do a full story on this location in the future. When Cedar Cove filming took place, it was called Country Fair Bistro. And way back when, I stopped in for a bite and it looked exactly as it did on the show. Sadly, I have looked everywhere and could not locate the pictures from my previous visits. The Taphouse & Eatery is located at 9143 Glover Road in Fort Langley.
Last year, while watching A Novel Romance, I immediately recognized the front door. I am still shocked that they used the inside of this building to create a bookstore! But, they did. Filming took place when it was the Country Fair Bistro.
Moon’s Place: Seasons 2 & 3
I wrote an entire post about this location here. Be sure to check it out!
Courthouse Building: All Seasons
Ah, the striking yellow building, officially known as the Fort Langley Community Hall. Doesn’t this place just scream Smalltown, USA??? We know it as Olivia’s Courthouse on Cedar Cove. But you’ve scene it on pretty much anything that has filmed in the fort, be it a Hallmark, Lifetime, feature film, or series. It generally shows up either as a featured location or in the background, so keep an eye out for it! I’m told the hall is a regular on Riverdale too! 9167 Glover Road Fort Langley.
Cedar Cove Library: All Seasons
On the left-side of the Fort Langley Community Hall, you will find a small library, exactly like the one we saw Grace work in on Cedar Cove. The day I stopped by to snap photos, I poked my head in to verify that the interiors were used for filming on Cedar Cove. But my question was left unanswered by the two librarians. (Who knew this was a privacy issue?) As my regular readers already know, I will dig deep to find a location, as I’ve proven here. But I was rather put off by my brief visit to this sweet little library and the fact that no one would answer my simple question. While I do believe filming took place inside this library, I was unable to confirm this as fact. But it makes perfect sense since production had already rented out the building for filming.
The Cedar Cove Art Gallery & The Cedar Cove Chronicle
To give you some perspective, on the other side of these buildings are Moon’s Place from seasons 2 & 3, along with Blessing’s restaurant and The Captains Gallery. You can read my post about it here. These buildings are located on Glover Road in Fort Langley and showed up throughout all 3 seasons of Cedar Cove. And they look almost exactly as they did on screen. Today, Trinity Western, a Christian college, has offices in this location and as you will see in the following photos, the interiors still closely resemble the Gallery and Chronicle.
The Cedar Cove Art Gallery: All Seasons
Years ago, back when Cedar Cove was still in production, I was able to get my photo next to the prop sign on one of my visits.
As you can see in my photo below, the ceiling fans, floor tiles, exit sign, doors, windows, and wall sconce are the exact same ones we saw on our screen!!!! My GUESS is that crews built a wall around the counter area we see in the photo below, making it look more like a business than a place to hang out.
Jack’s Office at the Chronicle: All Seasons
Again, although there have been some minor changes to this space, you can see how closely it still resembles Jack’s office at the Cedar Cove Chronicle. It was very surreal to be standing in “his” space.
Saget Development : All Seasons
If you look out the windows of the above photos of Jack’s office, you will notice the burgundy colored building across the road. It’s the Fort Pub & Grill. (and a great place to grab a bite!) Around the back of the Pub is an area we saw from time to time on Cedar Cove. Although I do not ever recall seeing an exterior of Saget Development, they did sort of allude to Warren’s office being in this area.
Seattle Bar: Season 3
During my recent re-watch of Cedar Cove, this Seattle location caught my eye. From the screen shot below, I knew exactly where this was, in the Gastown area of Vancouver. I’ve included it just for fun. The business has changed names a few times since filming and is currently vacant. I LOVE the vintage tile floor and the teal colored metal chairs. Photo source: GOOGLE

This Weekend:
Personally, I think the biggest draw this weekend is the real-life wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle. I am a longtime fan of the royal family and am looking very forward to watching the wedding, along with all the pomp and circumstance it brings. Anyone else out there remember when little Harry was born???? Hard to believe he is getting married!!!
As far as Hallmark movies, don’t miss Royally Ever After this Saturday night on the Hallmark Channel. Check local listing for times.
Thank you for your continued support. I will be back next week with the final installment of my Cedar Cove series, featuring the town. Remember, you can re-watch all three seasons of this wonderful series on Netflix.

Again a triumphant post Kerry. Love all the places used in Cedar Cove but I’m a Riverdale fan too! Cool to know some places are used there too! Your passion & professionalism continues to shine through!
Kerry
Thanks Ruth! So glad you enjoyed seeing these locations. When we head up north, we will have to get you to some riverdale locales.
Net
I so enjoyed this look at all the Cedar Cove businesses, Kerry! It’s such a lovely area… I’m amazed, looking back, at how many different locations were required to make the this production work. My absolute favorite is the yellow building, the Cedar Cove courthouse. I definitely recall seeing it in other projects, too. It is such a beautiful building, a true landmark! I bet is quite grand in person!
Thank you for sharing this adventure! I can just envision Olivia riding by these places on her bicycle waving to her friends and neighbors!
Blessings, Net
Kerry
Net, I never tire of seeing the community hall. And on weekends, there is typically a festival or a wedding going on there. I’ve seen many brides and wedding parties through the years. It’s such a standout building. Cedar Cove really did set up shop in Fort Langley!! I am so happy you are enjoying this series. Thanks so much for your support Net!!!! 🙂
Sally Silverscreen
Great post, Kerry! I really liked seeing how each building looked different or the same from how it was depicted on the show! When Cedar Cove was still on the air, I had a fan theory that Moon could be related to the man that was the subject of the statue in front of the Courthouse. I’m disappointed that the statue’s plaque was never found and that my theory wasn’t confirmed or denied.
Kerry
Thanks Sally! That is my “thing”…I love to line up screenshots from the movie/show with how it looks in real life. I used to think it was a bizarre hobby until the first time I met someone who was into film locations. She is now a good friend and over the years, I have met many more people who are into film locations.
Back when CC was still in production, I was in Fort Langley one day and I actually saw the statue that was a prop, in front of the Courthouse building, which as you know is really the Fort Langley Town Hall. I took a photo of it but as I mentioned on one of my CC posts, I am unable to locate any of those photos. It was back in 2013 or 2014, so only 4-5 years but I just can’t find them. Anyhow, that is a cool theory you had, about the statue and Moon. It is obvious Moon really was your fave character. He certainly was a fun character!!! 🙂
Marilyn
Thanks for sharing the picture of Olivia’s court house, Kerry. Just brings back the happy viewing of Cedar Cove. To this date, we’re still feeling the withdrawal syndrome when production stopped filming the show 😞
Kerry
CC fans still miss this show! We will for sure stop here on your tour. I will take you to many CC locations. It is really neat to see these places in person and I know you will really enjoy it! 🙂
