One Last Look Back:
Welcome to the final installment in my “Look Back at Cedar Cove“. It has been a lot of fun to take a look back at this amazing show. I have sure missed it!!! I’ve heard from fans via email and social media and I think everyone agrees they would be happy with a proper finish to the series. In case you have missed my previous Cedar Cove entries, you can read the intro here, part one here, and part two here. Today, we will be looking at the town of Cedar Cove. Although Cedar Cove was played by two different areas, Fort Langley and Deep Cove, this week we will focus on the fort. But first……..

The Cedar Cove Lighthouse:
The real lighthouse we saw every week in the opening credits can be found at Lighthouse Park in West Van. You can park in the lot and hike out about 15 minutes to the viewing area. It is a gorgeous place to spend some time but there are several hills. So when you go, plan accordingly with the proper footwear and attire. 4902 Beacon Lane West Vancouver, B.C.
Fort Langley Riverwalk:
We saw this area show up many times throughout the series, especially in season 3. I’ve scene it on Morning Show Mysteries and I believe it will show up in one of the new Garage Sale Mysteries this August. It’s just down the way from Moon’s Place and The Captains Galley, which I wrote about here.
Pier Area:
Located in Fort Langley, this area is located directly in front of Moon’s Place & The Captains Galley, along the Fraser River. It was the site of the Cedar Cove Bachelor Auction and was also used as an outdoor eating area of Moon’s Place. We’ve also scene it show up in Morning Show Mysteries. There is a second wharf area just to the left of this larger one. Hallmark’s A Novel Romance set up an outdoor restaurant on it in the movie.
Seth & Justine’s Restaurant:
This is one of those locations that kept me searching for many months. I finally reached out to my friends at Whats Filming and they pointed me in the right direction…..THANKS GUYS! While I was on the right path, I just didn’t look far enough up the coast. I also learned that I need to zoom in with Google Earth too….otherwise, you can totally miss the location you’re searching for! Seth & Justine’s restaurant is located in the Sunset Marina in West Van. Aside from the paint color, it looks exactly as it did on screen, right down to the door. The restaurant is only used as a filming location and has been in several productions, including Siren. I spoke to Susan, the General Manager, and she fondly remembers when Cedar Cove filmed there. She even showed me an 8 x 10 autographed photo of Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal. My sincere thanks to Susan for allowing me entrance into the restaurant building and outdoor deck. 34 Sunset Beach West Vancouver, B.C.
Streets of Cedar Cove:
The shots below were taken on Glover Road. You can clearly see Country Lane Antiques, AKA Rags to Riches from Garage Sale Mysteries. I will be featuring a story on this popular antique store the first week in August. Although you cannot see it in the photos below, the beautiful yellow Fort Langley Community Hall is to the left of the sidewalk. Glover Road, Fort Langley, B.C.
Village Square Mall:
This is another building that showed up throughout the series. It houses the location of the former bridal shop from For Better or For Worse, which I wrote about here. It also has a side entrance as well as and a courtyard, which we saw in The Wedding March. 23343 Mavis Ave Fort Langley, B.C.
Village Antiques Mall:
Most (but not all) Fort Langley filmed Hallmark movies shoot a scene on the sidewalk in front of this Antique Mall. All you have to do is keep your eye out for the big red sleigh! (dead-giveaway!) Aside from Cedar Cove, it has appeared in countless productions, including one of my personal faves, Wedding Bells. 23331 Mavis Ave Fort Langley, B.C.
Blacksmith Bakery site: Before & After:
While researching screenshots for this series, I came across this view of what the Blacksmith Bakery site used to look like. I thought it was worth sharing!!! I wrote about the Blacksmith Bakery here. 9190 Church Street Fort Langley, B.C.

Thanks again, Kerry, for the Cedar Cove info. So great!!! Such beautiful and quaint areas of Vancouver. I just read that Cedar Cove seasons 1-3 are rolling off Netflix June 18, so not much more time to watch/binge before it goes.
Kerry
So glad you enjoyed Cheryl! And you got to see a lot of it on your trip!!! Very cool. Thanks for sharing about the show leaving Netflix June 18. Good to know!!! 🙂

Thanks for all this info. Cedar Cove is one of my favourite series and my very favourite for scenery. A movie to close off the story lines would be great, we can wish! I have just watched all three seasons again.
Kerry
Thanks for your comment Julie……I’m so glad you enjoyed this series!!! Yes, the scenery in this series was like no other. You never know, maybe one day we will get an proper ending. That would be awesome! 🙂
Sally Silverscreen
Another great post, Kerry! As much as I love Cedar Cove, I’m not sure if Hallmark will give fans the ending they want for their favorite show. Who knows? Maybe fans could make Twitter campaigns and/or petitions like some people did for All of My Heart: Inn Love. As for the locations from Cedar Cove, it’s too bad that we didn’t get to see Seth & Justine’s Restaurant become more successful on the show. I’m pretty sure it could have been a good backdrop for some great stories!
Kerry
Thanks again Sally! I am glad you checked out my ‘Look Back’ series. I realize many will disagree with me….and that is TOTALLY fine….but I have not completely given up on CC. I think it is VERY possible for much of the cast to come back for a two hour movie to tie up loose ends. You wouldn’t HAVE to include everyone and I think it would be a highly rated movie. Again just my two cents. There are so many fans that would watch to see a proper ending. Perhaps once Chesapeake Shores goes off the air, you just never know! But I believe that Hallmark COULD make a 2 hour movie NOW and viewers would eat it up to see a real ending. The KEY to its sucess would have to be OUTSTANDING writing and a fantastic storyline. Once you’ve got that, its gold! I would HATE to see them throw together a crap story with poor writing, as we’ve scene in other sequels or movies. That would be worse than what we were left with originally. 🙂
