Merry Christmas week to you! I thought it would be kinda fun to do something a little different today. I have put together a collection of Hallmark Christmas movie homes and decided to feature these holiday houses together, as a tour. My own Hallmark Christmas movie film locations tour! Since the border into Canada is closed indefinitely, I am super happy I always photographed a bunch of locations on every visit I made and filed them away for a rainy day. For todays post, I had photos of all but two, so I enlisted the help of my good friend, Janelle, who you might recall helped me out with The Christmas Ornament post. (Again, THANK YOU Janelle! ❤)
I created a list, the only criteria being they had to have been scene in a Christmas movie, and now I will take you on a “drive-by” tour to have a look. Just think of me as your friendly guide, complete with elf hat, hot cocoa, and some Amy Grant Christmas tunes playing in the background. C’mon…buckle up and let’s go!
Our first stop is at the house we saw featured in the 2014 Hallmark movie, The Christmas Secret. Personally, I LOVE this movie and usually watch it a couple times during the year. In The Christmas Secret, Christine lives in this house with her two children.
I located this home in Maple Ridge and I like its simplicity! The large wraparound front porch is so inviting, and that front door is amazing!!! Does it look familiar? You may have scene it in Lifetime’s Best Friends Betrayal, as the place where Nick lived. Catch The Christmas Secret on December 24 at 4:00 pm on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
Next up is a house from another personal fave of mine, Ice Sculpture Christmas!!! (who doesn’t just adore Rachel Boston???) This fun and lighthearted flick premiered in 2015 and has been making me want to take up ice sculpting ever since…ha, ha…as if! Callie just makes it all look so easy.
In the movie, Callie lives in this home with her father; the garage was also used for filming those ice sculpting lessons.
This one is also located in Maple Ridge, a very popular town for filming. Thank you Janelle, for these photos.
Our next stop is at the house from the 2016 Hallmark movie, Operation Christmas. This is another great holiday film with a military theme. I enjoyed the spirit of giving that was present throughout the movie, and the coming together of military families. A pregnant military wife lived here in the movie, and a Christmas tree and food basket were delivered to her here, while her husband was away on deployment.
This simple but very cute home is located in Fort Langley, in a neighborhood with other Hallmark homes we’ve scene.
Now we find ourselves in different neighborhood of Fort Langley, in the company of several Hallmark houses I have featured here over the years: The Perfect Bride house, Hailey Dean’s house, A Bride for Christmas house, and the Summer of Dreams house. This one is from the 2017 Hallmark movie, A Joyous Christmas.
I have mentioned before that I have many tricks up my sleeve for finding film locations and in a rather strange twist of fate, I found this location before ever seeing the movie. (I know, weird, right?) I read this article online when it was published and watched every new Hallmark Christmas movie that year until I found the house mentioned in the article. Turns out it was Rachel’s house from A Joyous Christmas. If you read the article I linked and scroll down a bit, you will also see a photo of the house used in fan-fave Nine Lives of Christmas, all dressed for the filming of something…..but the article doesn’t say what. I doubt it was from Nine Lives of Christmas since the article was written in 2017 and Nine Lives of Christmas was filmed in 2014. (but of course I could be totally wrong too….just speculating like I always do!) Catch A Joyous Christmas on December 26 at 2:00 am on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
And speaking of The Perfect Bride house, anyone else catch it in this years Cranberry Christmas??? When it flashed on the screen, it looked oh so familiar, but it was the winter features that threw me off for like two seconds. A light dusting of the white stuff on the roof, carefully hung garland and lights, and a fresh blanket of fake snow on the ground, all placed to disguise this one, but I figured it out pretty darn quickly.
The place looked ah-mazing and I ❤ the Christmas version of this location. Nice work, set dec!!! BTW, I enjoy anything with Nikki De Loach and that Ben Ayers? Love. Him. That is all. Catch Cranberry Christmas on December 25 at 6:30 pm on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
The next stop on the tour is from the 2018 Hallmark movie, Road to Christmas. I was taken with this house the minute I saw it and found it rather quickly in the Brookswood area of Langley. (Everything films in Langley, AKA the Hallmark filming capital of Canada) Road to Christmas was a fun movie because it took viewers on a holiday road trip, stopping to visit all sorts of holiday related sites along the way. Cool, right? The parents of lead character Maggie lived here in the movie, and this was a stop along the road trip.
Just look at that yellow house with those squared white columns, Christmas red bows, holiday garland, colored lights and white snow! While we only saw a small portion of this home on screen, the shots Janelle snapped show just how big this home truly is. What a great house for Christmas decor!!!
The final stop on this tour gives us a new perspective on an old location. Last weekend I watched the new Hallmark movie, A Glenbrooke Christmas, which I immediately fell hard for. The little cottage where Jessica stayed looked very familiar to me, and for good reason. I’ve been there and even featured it here on my blog. I knew I had scene it but I couldn’t figure out where, all because of the angle the cottage was shot at. And then there was a decoy…three address numbers that are not there in real life, at least not to my knowledge. I haven’t stepped foot on the property to confirm that but I know the address of the house and it isn’t even close to the numbers shown in the movie. I figured it out soon enough and the cottage is none other than Rose Cottage from the Father Christmas series of movies, which I wrote about here. As I said, I really loved A Glenbrooke Christmas and recognized every film location, which is always a score when I watch a movie. Locations were shot in Clayburn, Chilliwack, and Langley. Well done, Julie Sherman Wolf. I loved this story!!! Catch A Glenbrooke Christmas on December 25 at 6:30 am on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
And there you have it, my 2020 Hallmark holiday film locations tour of Christmas homes! I hope you enjoyed seeing these places and perhaps learning a little something about them.

This will be my last film locations post of 2020. I will be back in the new year with more Hallmark film locations, and look forward to sharing their stories with you. Warning: the photo program I use to re-size my photos has updated (insert rolling eyes) and I am unable to figure out how to use it, although I have given it the ole’ college try. The old version will disappear on January 1st so I’m going to have to figure something out…and quick! In addition, my posts may look a bit different since I am unable to escape across the border for locations finding fun, but Google Street View will fill in for me in the meantime. And maybe Janelle will be able to help out from time to time. I still have places to share with you from Canada, but I will also be featuring some locations from my travels to Europe, which will include my visit to Salzburg, Austria, home of The Sound of Music! Do, re, mi, anyone???
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, whatever it is that looks like for you this year. 2020 has been a wild ride for sure. #Welcome2021 As always, I appreciate your kind words of support and thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog.
