It’s a two-fer week here at I’ve Scene It On Hallmark! I typically post once a week but in honor of the highly anticipated upcoming Hallmark movie, I’m giving you two posts this week. You’re welcome!
This Saturday night, the Hallmark Channel will premiere the sequel fans have been begging for, All of My Heart 2: Inn Love. The sequel reunites Brennan Elliot and Lacey Chabert as Brian and Jenny and picks up where the first one left off. Well, sort of. As far as storylines and actors go, that is true. But this is a film locations blog. So, let’s talk All of My Heart 2 locations.
Way back in July, I was working on stories for this blog. My website was still in the design stages and I was focusing on building my content, long before the site went live. On one of my trips north, I stopped at what I refer to as “my” farmhouse. You know the one I’m talking about, the gorgeous farmhouse that stole my film-location-loving heart in Hallmark’s All of My Heart and the Aurora Teagarden series. As I made my way to this home, I knew something was up. I couldn’t even see the house yet, but I knew. It just felt off. As I got to the turnoff, there it was, right in front of my face. A large sign:
A production had rented out the farmhouse for three months. THREE MONTHS! As I took in the words on the sign, it hit me. All of My Heart 2 was scheduled to start filming in August to air in September/October during the Fall Harvest line-up. My brain immediately went into high gear, and I couldn’t process everything fast enough. All I could say was, “OMG, they cannot film the sequel and get it out in time for a fall airing”. You see, it wasn’t just that the farmhouse had been rented out from May until the very end of August. It was also the fact that the General Store (which I will write about Friday) closes down every September for the entire month! And I knew this because I had already visited the store and written the story for my blog.
The hardest part of my discovery was having no one to talk about it with. I mean, in the Hallmark world, this was big news! How do you have a sequel when one of the MAIN locations isn’t available? It never entered my mind that they would just find another farmhouse. I mean, really, as far as I’m concerned, that farmhouse was another character in the movie. And yet, that is exactly what they did! I decided to keep the information to myself because it was not my story to tell, it was Hallmark’s. As a new blogger, I want to be a friend to the Hallmark brand.
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t believe it when I heard the sequel would begin filming. I wondered if maybe the storyline had the house burn down, or maybe it was undergoing a serious reno, that somehow it was so damaged that Brian and Jenny had to move out for a while? It just never dawned on me that they would do a sequel without THE farmhouse! It wasn’t until I saw a photo on Twitter showing Lacey and Brennan on set in front of a doorway that I said to myself, out loud, “OMG…they’re using a different farmhouse? NO WAY!” Seriously, I literally had to see it to believe it.
Once my shock settled, I was able to locate the new farmhouse while filming was still taking place. I even drove past on one of my day trips and was pretty excited when I saw the filming signs, confirming that this was indeed THE place.
All of My Heart 2 was a closed set, so I did not get to see any of the filming take place, nor did I catch a glimpse of the “new” farmhouse. As soon as the movie wrapped, however, all bets were off and I made arrangements for a visit. I don’t normally visit a film location BEFORE a movie airs, but this was special because, let’s face it, this movie is special. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to see the new farmhouse. What can I say, I was curious! The place had to be pretty amazing if it was chosen to replace the farmhouse from the first movie, amiright? I will have a post dedicated to the new farmhouse sometime in the upcoming weeks. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
In the meantime, the film locations you can expect to see this weekend in All of My Heart 2: Inn Love include the coffee shop, which I posted about here; the General Store, which I will be posting about on Friday; and the “new” farmhouse, which we’ve just discussed. I’ve scene some still photos Hallmark released from All of My Heart 2, which include a harvest fair of some sort. Viewers will recognize this location from last weekend’s new movie, Harvest Love. Both All of My Heart 2 and Harvest Love used the same farm for their shoots.

Thank you so much, Kerry, for sharing all the details on why they didn’t use the original farmhouse. I still haven’t gotten over the shock, personally, but I just know seeing Lacey and Brennan together again will definitely help! They are simply magical in their roles, and I can’t wait to see their story continue!
Thank you for sharing all the beautiful pics!
Net 🙂
Kerry
I know how you feel. For me, after seeing the trailer for the new movie, and seeing the two of them together again, as well as visiting the new farmhouse in person, well, all of that really helped me over the SHOCK I felt that summer day in July. I didn’t think it could work……AT ALL…..but I really believe that it does. Thanks Net!!! 🙂

I think it ruined the movie for me . I love that farmhouse and having it at one that looks totally different made me not enjoy the movie. It’s like when they do a sequel and change the actors it’s just not the same or as good .
The new house is pretty too but I really loved the other one .
Kerry
Laurie, I understand. And it is not the same when you make that kind of change. I am very lucky to have been able to visit the new house, sit inside of it, walk the property, and really take it all in. I was actually back there again last week to shoot interior photos for an upcoming post. The homeowners are so gracious. I think the inside of the house is much more like a B & B than the original. But I agree, I did fall hard for that farmhouse the first time I saw it in AOMH.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to comment. 🙂
Chris
Hi,
I liked reading your blog about this movie (reading it while also watching the movie to boot). I have a question or too about the filming locations for “Inn Love”. I read that it was filmed in Canada and wanted to know where it was. Also, was the location used to give a Pennsylvania country setting feel and portray Bucks County as close to the source as possible?
I actually do live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and when I saw that it was “set” in Bucks I was excited to see if I recognized any of places shown. Knowing that it was shot in Canada did bring a damper to my excitement, but it hasn’t deterred me from still watching it.
Bucks County is nice in Fall, as noted several, several times in “All of My Heart: Inn Love”, with quite a few films having been shot here.
Kerry
Hi Chris, thanks so much for your comment. I LOVE that you were reading my blog post while watching the movie, all from your home in Bucks County……too cool! Both All of My Heart and All of My Heart 2 were filmed in British Columbia, Canada. The farmhouse from the first movie is in Aldergrove and the farmhouse in the second movie is in Langley. Langley is a very popular area for filming. The businesses from both movies and the street where they shopped in the second movie are both in the city of Abbotsford. The coffee shop is in Aldergrove. I have featured stories on both farmhouses, the General Store, and the coffee shop here on my blog. All can be found through the search function or under Hallmark Movies tab. Check them out!
Not all, but the majority of Hallmark movies are filmed in Canada. In general, I think that location managers scout locations that closely resemble the places they are depicting. In the case of All of My Heart, they located a gorgeous farmhouse that they believed had a Bucks County feel to it. The same goes for the businesses. In the first movie, all we saw was the General Store and the coffee shop. In the sequel, we saw the lead characters walking down a street and antiquing. I remember reading many comments on social media from viewers that were upset that they “used a different town” than the first movie. Well, they didn’t. They only expanded on the town, meaning we saw more than the store and coffee shop. The shopping area they used in the sequel is a very popular street for filming. I’ve already visited and will be doing a story on it in the coming months.
Thank you so much for visiting and for your comment. 🙂

I WANT TO KNOW IF THE ALL OF MY HEART: THE WEDDING WAS THE LAST MOVIE. IF YOU CAN TELL ME THE ORDER OF THE MOVIES I WOULD LIKE THAT. I LOVED THE MOVIE AND I WATCH IT OVER AND OVER. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY HAD ALL THE MOVIES IN ONE DAY SO I CAN WATCH THEM.
Kerry
Thanks for your comment Joan. As of now, there are 3 movies; All of My Heart, All of My Heart: Inn Love, and All of My Heart: The Wedding. As far as I’ve heard, there are no plans to make anymore in this series. They have taken the two leads and given them a new series, The Crossword Mysteries movies. 🙂

I love all 3 of your movies. I can watch them over and over and notice new scenes everytime. As a native of Bucks County (by way of Philadelphia) I recognized the beautiful scenery immediately. I live in Georgia now but have future plans of creating a summer home in the Bucks county area. Thank you so much for your contributions.
Kerry
Thanks for you comment Zenja. How lucky for you to have lived in such a lovely corner of the world! These movies were filmed in Canada, not the real Bucks County, and offer their own impressive scenery and landscape. So glad you enjoy the movies…Hallmark has done a great job with this series. 🙂
